We have been at the Provo Missionary Training Center for four days and learning a lot. Our training has been centered around becoming Preach My Gospel missionaries and we have learned a lot. Each day we prepare a lesson and teach an investigator.
We had our last Russian language class tonight, so the rest of our language will have to come when we get to Russia.
We fly out on Thursday, May 6 @ 8:30am, arriving in NY at 3:30PM. An hour later we fly direct to Moscow which is a 10 hour flight. When we get there a couple will pick us up and show us around Moscow and take us to dinner. We stay in the Marriott Hotel that night, then fly to Krasnodar the next morning.
After a few days with the Howard's (the couple we are replacing) the four of us will travel to Rostov. They will fly home and we will meet our mission president and perhaps stay a few days, then we will travel back to Krasnodar.
We appreciate all the love and support that you give us and know that you will be in our prayers.
The gospel is worth all the effort each of us put into living it each day.
We are SO happy to have some missionaries again serving in the family! You are off to some great adventures in Russia. We are SO proud of you!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite blogs. I check them everyday (maybe several times a day--even though I know they aren't updated as often as I recheck them.) Paul teases me about my "addiction" to checking my favorite blogs. Thanks for creating it. I'm looking forward to your missionary adventures.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are going to be grateful when those first days are over and you can settle in to your apartment and the work. You will learn to appreciate naps like you never have before.
