"The Lord will increase our knowledge, wisdom, and capacity to obey when we obey His fundamental laws. This is what the Prophet Joseph Smith meant when he said we could have 'sudden strokes of ideas' which come into our minds as 'pure intelligence.' We must learn to rely on the Holy Ghost so we can use it to guide our lives and the lives of those for whom we have responsibility. (Ezra Taft Benson)
How does quality, variety, dependability of supply, and prices compare to United States? The pictures look good.
ReplyDeleteVariety of drived fruits available is amazing. The apricots look absolutely yummy. We haven't purchased any yet but will soon. Quality of products - hard to say - some better, some worse so maybe about even. Prices: for fresh fruits and vegetables much cheaper. For other items like sugar, flour, etc higher; for processed, packaged items much much higher. I am used to buying in quantity. Here I cannot do that. They do have large modern supermarkets to shop in. That is where we mostly purchase staple items. Anything fresh we purchase at the Renik. I haven't got down the kilo thing yet. My mind is wrapped around pounds. Milk comes in a box and tastes quite good. We keep it cold. I do miss a large glass of milk though! We are used to drinking two gallons of milk a week for cooking and drinking. Here we do about 2 qts a week.
