"THE HOF" OF ST PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

Our daughter termed Peter Hof Palace as "the home of this Hof guy who was comsumed by his own importance." Peter Hof is the summer home of Peter the Great who was a Russian Tsar. His estate is located on the outskirts of St Petersburg and overlooks the Baltic Sea.

Our hydrofoil ride on the Baltic Sea out to roam the estates.

Grant entrance to the sea-side entrance of Peter Hoff. Note the many and majestic gold fountains up the hillside.

Too many fountains to count dot the estate grounds. They are around every corner and of every shape, size, and subject:

Peter even had homes away from home on the estate so he could get away from company that would sometimes stay for months on end:

The most beautiful part of the estate were the grounds with their own forests, path ways, streams, flowers, etc.

And if this wasn't enough to live in, Peter also built himself a "huge" winter palace in the heart of St Petersburg known today as the Hermitage. It is now home to a national art museum with over 1 million exhibits.

Tha, Tha, Tha, That's all folks! Hope you enjoyed the tour.
